[ One day when Wangji comes home, he'll find a large piece of paper on his side of the bed. It's a scene of Gusu, in the Cloud Recesses. Rabbits are all over the tranquil scene near the cold springs.
Including a couple men, one delicately painted with a hint of a blue ink wash at the edges of robes and a serene (but clear) smile. The other is more darkly inked, irreverence in every stroke of the reclined figure. Silent laughter seems to pour from that section of the paper. ]
[ The painting disappears soon after. Nothing is said about it, but three days later it can be found on Wangji's bedroom wall - hung in the traditional scroll style. ]
